 Exposing the tibia and fibula distal to the amputation level for ease of periosteal elevation.  Elevation of the osteoperiosteal graft.  Transection of the tibia and fibula cortex post periosteum elevation.  Notching the distal tibia and fibula  Fitting a piece of fibular cortex into the distal tibia and fibula notches.  Drilling holes for suture fixation of cortex graft.  Suturing the cortex graft to the distal tibia and fibula.  Packing the cortex graft with cancellous bonegraft.  Suturing the osteoperiosteal graft around the fibular cortex graft completing the bonebridge. | |
